The LORD'S Feast of Tabernacle is one of the yearly feasts which He commands us to observe to all generation. It shall also be observed in the Millennium Kingdom of Christ. This feast is first of all, a reminder of the Glory of LORD God of Israel, tabernacling with His people during their wilderness journey when they dwelt in Booths -temporary dwellings- before entering into their rest, the Promise Land. The LORD's Presence was their total sustenance as they had all their needs met by Him. This feast also points to the Millennium reign of Christ when His Glory will Tabernacle with us here on Earth, shielding, protecting and abundantly providing for us. It is a great time of healing, restoration, multiplication and peace. All the nations of the Earth shall come to worship Him on His Holy mountain, to rejoice and feast in His Presence with His heritage, while He also rejoices over His people. the celebration of the feast is a command that must be observed on its season.
Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days… And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast… Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice (Deuteronomy 16:13-15).
And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the Earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of Tabernacles (Zechariah 14:16-19). For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted (Isaiah 60:12).
In the coming Millennium, any nation that did not celebrate the Feast of Booths/Tabernacle/ingathering, such a nation will not experience rain…the blessings of the LORD. Also, the LORD shall smite such a nation with plague as He did with Egypt:
It’s time for consistent praises and worship and thanksgiving unto our God for sustaining us, giving us rain; for His abundant mercies and goodness upon us. He is forever enthroned on the praises of His people. He is good and His mercies endure forever. He is our total source of supply and His faithfulness endures forever.
And so, all nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O LORD; and shall glorify thy name (Psalm 86:9). This again fulfills the LORD’S declaration that unto Him shall every knee bow and every tongue will confess Him as their LORD (Isaiah 45:23; Philippians 2:10; Romans 14:11).
